TASHAMA
This full gut renovation reimagines a compact Nantucket home for a sophisticated, well-traveled New Yorker making the island her full-time residence. Designed intentionally against coastal cliché, the interiors embrace bold color, luxurious textiles, and a curated mix of mid-century French and Italian vintage alongside contemporary pieces. With only two bedrooms and two baths, the home required inventive spatial planning: half of the existing garage was transformed into a dramatic, sunken dining room, paired with a discreet mudroom tailored to island life. The result is a layered, cosmopolitan retreat that feels both glamorous and deeply livable — unexpected, personal, and unapologetically nontraditional for Nantucket.
